Grace Poulos is the Tulsa Service Year Data & Policy Fellow for Take Control Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to birth control in Tulsa. Through quantitative analysis, poignant research, and interactive outreach, she looks forward to promoting health and gender equity in Tulsa.
Grace obtained her B.A. in International Studies from the University of Tampa, accompanied by a Minor in French and a Concentration in African Studies. While attending UT, Grace was awarded a research fellowship to examine how contemporary African feminist literature has influenced the social movement within the African diaspora. She traveled to London, England to collect data and presented her findings at various conferences. Grace also created a sustainable development initiative in Ghana, which focused on women’s education and confidence in the workplace. As demonstrated in her past projects, Grace has an immense passion for gender equity and looks forward to continuing this journey with TCI.
Originally from Chicago, Grace grew up surrounded by artistry and diversity. She loves to oil paint, visit unique art exhibits, explore new vegan food spots, and travel any chance she gets.
Upon completion of her Tulsa Service Year fellowship, Grace will join the team at Suzy as a Research Analyst.
